CalSTRS Headquarters

LEED GOLD--WPCS recently completed structured wiring and other systems for the 17-story CalSTRS (California State Teachers’ Retirement System) Headquarters in Sacramento, which received LEED Gold. WPCS implemented a state-of-the-art cable plan that included installation of the building’s backbone infrastructure and a build-out of all of the MDF, IDF and server rooms, as well as wiring 1,250 work stations. WPCS assembled all materials off site to minimize the amount of waste delivered to the job site. All materials were procured within a 300 mile radius to use less energy in shipping. The fully converged network system was also designed to reduce waste.
